Everyone should have the opportunity to live well beyond breast cancer.
Our Mission
To improve the quality of life of the breast cancer community by increasing access to Breast Cancer Rehabilitation and Lymphedema Therapy.
To ensure everyone affected by breast cancer, regardless of race, age, education, and income, has access to essential cancer care during, after, and well beyond breast cancer.
Breast cancer and its treatments, including surgery, chemotherapy, radiation, and hormonal therapy, are associated with a wide range of physical and emotional side effects that can have a significant impact on oneβs quality of life.
While side effects are common, they are not something that people need to accept as part of their new normal. Breast Cancer Rehabilitation, a specialized field of physical and occupational therapy, is proven to maximize oneβs recovery and healing during and after breast cancer by minimizing treatment-related side effects and improving oneβs physical, mental, and social well-being.
Yet, despite profound benefits, only 1-2% of the cancer community receives this specialized care. The costs associated with rehabilitation, inadequate insurance coverage, and a lack of awareness about the specialized service, remain the primary barriers to accessing Breast Cancer Rehabilitation.
What We Do
At Well Beyond Breast Cancer, we're committed to breaking down the barriers that stand in the way of vital Breast Cancer Rehabilitation services.
Through our Financial Assistance Program, we fully fund appointments of specialized physical/occupational therapy for individuals experiencing financial hardship, ensuring that life-changing Breast Cancer Rehabilitation and Lymphedema Therapy remains accessible to everyone.
Through our free Educational Workshops, led by oncology rehab specialists, we bring evidence-based information directly to the breast cancer community, equipping them with the knowledge and tools to manage treatment-related side effects. By making these sessions widely accessible, we minimize geographical barriers to care and ensure everyone receives the information and support they need.
Whether you are a survivor, thriver, previvor, or metavivor, we are committed to helping you live well beyond breast cancer. Your quality of life matters to us and we are here to ensure you get the care you needβand deserve.
Why Breast Cancer Rehabilitation Matters
Give the Gift of Healing
Every dollar you donate helps transform the lives of those affected by breast cancer, doing more than just easing the financial strain of a diagnosis. Your generosity directly funds vital appointments of Breast Cancer Rehabilitation, helping individuals overcome the physical and emotional challenges of treatment, regain their strength and function, and live more fully during, after, and beyond breast cancer.
At Well Beyond Breast Cancer, one of the first 501(c)(3) nonprofits dedicated to improving access to Breast Cancer Rehabilitation, every donation goes directly to our Financial Assistance Program. Your support ensures that those who are uninsured, underinsured, or experiencing financial hardship can receive the vital care needed to truly recover from breast cancer.
Your gift can transform uncertainty into hope, turning daily struggles into small victories toward a better quality of life. As a registered 501(c)(3) nonprofit, your donation is tax-deductible; please retain your receipt for your records. Please note all donation amounts are in USD.
Your compassion truly changes lives, helping us provide the hope and healing that every individual facing breast cancer deserves.
βCancer challenges us emotionally, mentally, and physically. Healing begins when we nurture all 3 components. By seeking specialized services that can support us in some of our needs, recovery can be facilitated and an overall sense of well-being attained.β
