Everyone should have the opportunity to live well beyond breast cancer.

Our Mission

To improve the quality of life of the breast cancer community by increasing access to Breast Cancer Rehabilitation and Lymphedema Therapy.

To ensure everyone affected by breast cancer, regardless of race, age, education, and income, has access to essential cancer care during, after, and well beyond breast cancer.

Breast cancer and its treatments, including surgery, chemotherapy, radiation, and hormonal therapy, can lead to long-lasting physical, emotional, and functional challenges that negatively impact one’s quality of life. Pain, fatigue, lymphedema, and limited mobility are common, but they are not something anyone should have to accept as their new normal.

Breast Cancer Rehabilitation, a specialized field of physical and occupational therapy, is proven to reduce treatment-related side effects, restore function, and improve independence and well-being during and after breast cancer. Yet despite strong evidence and national guidelines recommending rehabilitation as part of high-quality cancer care, fewer than 10% of survivors are referred, and only 2–9% receive the specialized care.

Why? Because too many face financial barriers, inadequate insurance coverage, limited awareness, and systemic inequities tied to race, age, income, and geography. Breast cancer doesn’t discriminate, and neither should access to care.

What We Do

  • Financial Assistance Program: We remove financial barriers by covering the cost of specialized physical and occupational therapy for those who are uninsured, underinsured, or experiencing financial hardship. These sessions, delivered by oncology-trained rehabilitation specialists, help individuals regain mobility, strength, function, and independence throughout treatment and into survivorship.

  • Educational Workshops: Our free online webinars empower individuals with trusted, evidence-based information to manage treatment-related side effects. Led by oncology experts, these workshops provide practical tools, support, and guidance, helping people navigate breast cancer and recovery with greater knowledge, confidence, and hope.

Whether you are a survivor or previvor, we are here to help you live well beyond breast cancer. Your quality of life matters to us and you deserve the care and support that makes healing possible.

Every Dollar Truly Changes a Life

Recovery is often the most overlooked and underfunded part of the breast cancer journey. At Well Beyond Breast Cancer, we’re changing that.

As one of the first 501(c)(3) nonprofits solely dedicated to expanding access to Breast Cancer Rehabilitation, we believe every person deserves the chance to fully recover, not just survive breast cancer. Yet far too many go without the specialized care needed to manage side effects and rebuild their lives after treatment.

That’s where you come in.

As a 100% volunteer-led organization, every dollar you donate goes directly to our Financial Assistance Program. No overhead, no fluff. Just real, life-changing impact.

Your support directly funds appointments of Breast Cancer Rehabilitation for those who are uninsured, underinsured, or facing financial hardship.

Your generosity is the difference between surviving and truly living well beyond breast cancer. Together, we can reshape the future of breast cancer care.

All donations are tax-deductible. Please retain your receipt for your records.
